What reaches the room
The Eastern Music Festival (EMF) has long stood as a cornerstone of musical education and performance in Greensboro, North Carolina. Founded in the early 1960s by Sheldon “Shelly” Morgenstern and headquartered on the Guilford College campus, EMF educated and showcased thousands of young musicians across orchestral, chamber, and master class formats. Over the decades, EMF welcomed hundreds of performers and audiences each year, building a lasting legacy in the American classical scene.
