Biography
Eddie Reyes was born in Amityville, New York, and his early exposure to rock helped him co-found Taking Back Sunday in 1999. As the band’s guitarist, Reyes contributed to seven studio albums through 2016’s Tidal Wave, helping define the band’s signature blend of melodic guitar work and energetic tempo shifts. He departed Taking Back Sunday in April 2018 for personal reasons, a decision announced by the band. Reyes’s impact remains evident in the band’s gold and platinum-certified early works, including Tell All Your Friends (Platinum in 2023), Where You Want to Be (Gold), and Louder Now (Gold).
