Eduardo Marturet is a renowned conductor and cultural leader known for shaping The Miami Symphony Orchestra into a dynamic, boundary-crossing ensemble. Since becoming Music Director & CEO in 2006, his vision has positioned MISO at the forefront of Miami's classical and contemporary music scenes. In 2025, he was named Honorary Artistic Director of the Orquesta Sinfónica Simón Bolívar (OSSB) by Gustavo Dudamel and the El Sistema leadership, underscoring his influence in global music education and performance. Marturet’s work spans recording, programming, and innovative collaborations that make orchestral music accessible and exciting to diverse audiences.

Marturet has produced more than 60 CDs, ranging from Brahms cycles to Latin American orchestral works. His recording and performance approach bridges traditional symphonic repertoire with modern, crossover projects, expanding the reach of classical music. Highlights include a Latin Grammy nomination in 2006 for Encantamento with the Berliner Symphoniker and the world premiere of Planet 9 Opus 3 in 2021 with MISO, featuring collaboration with astronomer Konstantin Batygin. In 2010, MISO released Trumpet Glamour (with Francisco Flores) and partnered with brands on campaigns such as Johnnie Walker’s Walk with Giants.
