Héctor Acosta, better known as El Torito, kicked off his music career as the lead vocalist of Los Toros Band from 1990 to 2006. Since then, he has released eight studio albums (2004–2022), with Este Soy Yo (2022) standing out as a recent independent-leaning project. His work has earned nominations, including a Best Merengue/Bachata Album nod at the 2022 Latin Grammys for Este Soy Yo.
