Meet Eldridge, a renowned guitarist and performer born on June 27, 1982 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. As the son of banjoist Ben Eldridge of The Seldom Scene, he grew up in a rich musical environment that shaped his expansive career across folk, bluegrass, and contemporary collaboration. A Grammy winner for Best Folk Album in 2019 and a nine-time nominee, Eldridge has been a staple in high-profile projects and on prominent stages for over a decade.

Known for his versatile collaborations and blazing guitar work, Eldridge has contributed to a wide array of ensembles and recordings, including Punch Brothers, Mighty Poplar, and duets with Julian Lage. He’s also lent his talents to The Infamous Stringdusters and Seldom Scene, weaving hybrid sounds that span traditional roots to modern, intricate arrangements. His work as house band guitarist on Prairie Home Companion/Live From Here (2016–2020) showcased his ability to anchor diverse musical programs with clarity and soul.

In addition to touring, he leads and participates in collaborative projects such as Mighty Poplar. The self-titled Mighty Poplar debut arrived in 2023 on Free Dirt Records, featuring Andrew Marlin, Noam Pikelny, Alex Hargreaves, and Greg Garrison.
