Electric Guest, formed in 2011 in Los Angeles, blends indie pop with indie rock, indietronica, and dream pop to create melodic, groove-forward songs driven by falsetto hooks and Motown-adjacent rhythms. The duo rose quickly to prominence after their debut album Mondo entered the scene in 2012, produced by Danger Mouse. Recognized by major outlets as a rising act—MTV named them Artists to Watch in 2012 and NME named them Radar Band of the Week in February 2013—Electric Guest has continued to evolve while staying true to their catchy, groove-laden sound.
