Element Eighty’s career kicked off with Mercuric (2001), a self-released debut that showcased their under-the-radar approach to hard-hitting, melodic metal. Their 2003 self-titled album on Universal/Republic featured the breakout track Broken Promises, which gained additional fame after being included in Need for Speed: Underground and reaching No. 36 on the US Mainstream Rock chart. The Bear (2005) followed on Texas Cries and was re-released in 2023, signaling a renewed interest and a fresh connection with longtime fans. The band reunited in 2021 and released A.D. in 2023 after a 16-year absence, proving their enduring relevance in the metal scene. Look for Element Eighty on tour in 2025, including a notable show on December 6, 2025 at Tulips FTW in Fort Worth, TX.
