Elise Flagg Academy of Dance (EFAD) blends classical ballet technique with modern movement science to give dancers a well-rounded, injury-conscious training path. Founded and directed by Elise Flagg, a former New York City Ballet principal who trained at The School of American Ballet on a Ford Foundation Scholarship and later danced nine seasons with NYCB before becoming a principal at Zurich Ballet, EFAD offers premier instruction in ballet, contemporary, jazz, modern, and Pilates. Located at 9 North 4th Street in Geneva, IL, EFAD serves dancers across the Chicago suburbs and beyond.

EFAD is committed to student success—sending dancers to prestigious programs such as SAB and Pacific Northwest Ballet, with graduates gaining placements at the Dutch National Ballet’s second company. The school also produces its own productions, including the Nutcracker, and collaborates with regional venues to bring high-quality dance to the Elgin area and surrounding communities.
