The live experience
What reaches the room
Elizabeth King is a Memphis-born sacred-soul gospel singer whose deep contralto voice has guided audiences since the late 1960s. Leading The Gospel Souls from 1969 to 1973, she helped shape a Memphis blues-influenced sacred sound that continues to resonate today. Her early singles on D-Vine Spirituals and the Designer label established her as a key figure in gospel and soul-infused sacred music. In recent years, King has enjoyed a late-career resurgence, releasing a string of acclaimed solo albums and performing at notable festivals and venues across the country.
