People behind the production
Meet Eloise Laws, a dynamic American singer rooted in a storied musical family from Houston. As a member of the renowned Laws siblings—alongside Hubert Laws, Ronnie Laws, and Debra Laws—she carved her own path in pop, R&B, and jazz. Eloise served as the first replacement for Marilyn McCoo in the 5th Dimension in the early 1970s, bringing a distinctive voice and stage presence that carried through a multi-decade career. Beyond studio work, she made a mark on Broadway as a performer and co-writer of the Tony-nominated It Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues. Her rich discography spans six studio albums released between 1977 and 2003 across Invictus, ABC, Liberty, Capitol, and Scepterstein labels, reflecting collaborations with notable writers and producers.
