Emerald City Music (ECM) is a Seattle-based chamber music collective founded in 2015 by violinist Kristin Lee. Biography: Emerald City Music was founded in 2015 by violinist Kristin Lee with a mission to present intimate chamber music experiences in Seattle and beyond. Disography Highlights: Kristin Lee released American Sketches (2024) on First Hand Records, a curated concept album drawing from American repertory. Notable collaborations include projects with Sandbox Percussion—whose Seven Pillars (2021) earned two Grammy nominations (2022, 2024)—and the Don’t Look Down collaboration with Cerrone & Sandbox Percussion (2025) on Pentatone, which received three Grammy nominations. These works reflect ECM’s commitment to broadening the storytelling potential of chamber music through contemporary voices and cross-genre partnerships.
