Eric Chii Yuanmoo, widely billed as Eric Moo and known in Chinese markets as Wu Qixian, is a foundational figure in Singapore's xinyao movement. Born Moo Chii Yuan, he built a career that spans Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Greater China, shaping a generation of Mandarin and Cantonese pop. With a debut Mandarin album 心情 (Feeling) released in 1985, Moo Chii Yuan has released more than 40 albums, including studio, compilation, and live projects from the late 1980s through 2009. His artistry earned international recognition when the 1994 single/album 太傻 (Too Silly) helped win Billboard’s inaugural Asian Artistic Excellence Award.
