Founded in 1985 by Ronald K. Brown, Evidence Dance Company aims to illuminate the human condition through African Diaspora dances and storytelling. With a dynamic repertory of over 30 choreographic works created specifically for EVIDENCE, the company tours annually across the United States and internationally, reaching more than 25,000 audience members each year. Evidence has earned prestigious accolades, including a Bessie Award for Better Days: First Time Thru (1998), the AUDELCO Award for Crowns – The Musical (2003), and the inaugural United States Artists Rose Fellowship (2006). The company maintains a flexible touring and licensing model, with works spanning from 1996’s Ebony Magazine: To a Village to 2024 commissions.
