Hailing from Tallinn, Estonia, Ewert and the Two Dragons have been a fixture of European indie music since forming in 2009. Core members Ewert Sundja, Erki Pärnoja, Kristjan Kallas, and Ivo Etti crafted a sound that blends indie rock and indie folk with melodic, atmospheric arrangements. They rose to prominence with the breakthrough album Good Man Down (2011), earning Eesti Muusikaauhinnad awards and Radio 2's Hit of the Year. An EBBA winner in 2013, the band expanded their reach across Europe and beyond, captivating audiences with their horn-section-forward live shows since 2011. In 2024, they participated in Eesti Laul with Hold Me Now, Estonia’s Eurovision national selection, illustrating their ongoing relevance in the European scene. As they prepare for a farewell: the final concert is announced for July 18, 2025 at the Tartu Song Festival Grounds (Tartu laululava), marking the end of an era while leaving a rich legacy of music that blends shimmering guitars, intimate storytelling, and evocative orchestration.
