Ex Fabula is a Milwaukee-based storytelling organization founded in 2009 by five locals who believed in the power of real stories to connect communities. From its Latin name meaning “from stories,” Ex Fabula curates intimate, live storytelling experiences that bring diverse voices to the stage. Over more than 16 seasons, the collective has hosted 1,200+ events and drawn tens of thousands of attendees, spotlighting programs like the Deaf Stories Project, Equal Access, Youth Affinity Storytelling, and the Real Stories MKE radio show on WUWM. As a trusted community partner, Ex Fabula continues to expand its reach with inclusive programs and collaborative performances across Milwaukee venues.
