Their work blends groove, texture, and global influences, with a focus on storytelling through music.

Recent highlights include the release of five leader albums, with notable titles such as Personalities (2011), Rhizome (2014), SWR New Jazz Meeting 2015 (2017), Alcanza (2017), and This Land Abounds With Life (2019). This latter project fuses jazz with Cuban field recordings and environmental themes, featuring a string quartet on several tracks and presenting a two-CD, eco-forward experience.

Fabian Almazan’s career includes prestigious commissions and residencies (SWR New Jazz Meeting commission, Sundance/Sundance Composers’ Lab, Copland Residency, Jerome Residency, Jazz Gallery residencies) and two Grammy nominations, underscoring the Trio’s impact in modern jazz. In 2025, the ensemble performed in London as part of Guildhall Jazz Festival x EFG London Jazz Festival, with Guildhall Jazz Orchestra, highlighting their international reach.
