Faded Paper Figures is an indie synthpop project born in 2007, founded by Kael Alden, R. John Williams, and Heather Alden. Known for lush harmonies, glossy electronic textures, and emotionally resonant songwriting, the project has built a devoted following across the United States. With critical praise from NPR and the New York Post early in their career, they established themselves in the indie scene as a distinctive voice in electro-pop.

Over more than a decade, FPF has released a series of full-lengths and EPs that showcase their evolving sound—from the synth-forward Dynamo (2008) to the reflective atmospheres of Morningside (2023) and the ambitious Triangles (2025). Their music blends melodic hooks with introspective lyrics, making live performances feel intimate and immersive. The project’s work has earned recognition, including the OC Music Awards Best Electronic Live Band (2009) and UC Irvine Songwriting Contest Best Song of the Year (Being There).
