Biography
FC Erzgebirge Aue, founded in the 1940s, grew into one of East Germany’s notable clubs, earning back-to-back DDR-Oberliga titles in 1956, 1957, and a third in 1959. They also claimed the FDGB-Pokal (1954–55), highlighting a storied trophy cabinet.
