Festival City Symphony (FCS) is Milwaukee’s oldest performing symphony orchestra, tracing its roots back to 1927 when it began as the Young People’s Orchestra. Reborn as the Milwaukee Civic Symphony Orchestra in 1946 and reimagined as Festival City Symphony in 1993, FCS gave its first concert as Festival City Symphony in 1994. The orchestra is dedicated to extending the reach of classical music throughout Milwaukee with approachable, engaging performances. With two ongoing series—Saturday Classics (free with a suggested donation) and Pajama Jamboree (free family-friendly concerts)—FCS makes orchestral music accessible to all ages.
