Fire of Wind (Fogo do Vento) is a lyrical, politically-inflected drama directed by Marta Mateus. Filmed in Alentejo with nonprofessional local actors, the 74-minute Portuguese-language film explores memory, labor, and resistance through intimate, human-centered storytelling. Since its world premiere at Locarno in 2024, the film has traveled to major festivals worldwide and earned multiple awards for its incisive portrait of community and power.
