Firewater is a dynamic, world-punk project founded in 1995 by Tod A (Tod Ashley) in New York City. Known for its ever-evolving lineup and fearless fusion of global influences with rock, Firewater defies easy genre labels. The core of the project is Tod A’s distinctive voice and songwriting, around which a rotating cast of musicians crafts a sound that blends alternative rock, gypsy punk, klezmer, cabaret, ska, and jazz.
