First Voices is a social impact project within Thresh, dedicated to Indigenous digital storytelling and cross-cultural collaboration. Founded by Preeti Vasudevan, the initiative brings together Native communities in Montana and beyond to create, share, and archive Indigenous stories through multidisciplinary workshops and educator resources. From its early work at Fort Peck (First Voices: Fort Peck, launched in 2022) to the Lame Deer initiative (First Voices: Lame Deer, 2020–2022), First Voices empowers communities to document heritage, language, and contemporary life in vibrant digital formats.
