Flagler Youth Orchestra Tickets

The Flagler Youth Orchestra (FYO) is a flagship program of Flagler Schools, offering robust opportunities for aspiring string players from beginner to advanced levels. With over 375 students enrolled annually, FYO emphasizes accessible music education, instrument scholarships, and ensemble experience that helps students grow both technically and musically. All string classes are hosted at Indian Trails Middle School in Palm Coast, with sessions typically held on Mondays and Wednesdays. Whether you’re just starting or aiming for advanced performance, FYO provides a welcoming pathway to excellence in string playing.

Founded in 2005, evolving from the original Flagler Symphonic Society (2001), FYO has a rich history of community concerts, collaborations with local ensembles, and large-scale performances at venues like Flagler Auditorium. Founding leader Jonathan May guided the program for its early years, and today Cheryl Tristam champions administration and outreach, ensuring accessibility and opportunities for every student in Flagler County.

FYO’s mission centers on inclusivity and artistic growth. Enrollment is free for Flagler County residents, and auditions and ensembles are organized to accommodate a range of skill levels. The program highlights instrument scholarships and accessibility, making it possible for many families to participate without financial barriers.
