Flamenco En Vivo, founded in 1983 by Carlota Santana (co-founder) and Roberto Lorca, is widely regarded as one of America’s premier flamenco companies. Santana serves as founder and artistic director, earning recognition from Dance Magazine as 'The Keeper of Flamenco' and honors from Spain, including La Cruz de la Orden al Mérito Civil. Based in New York City and Durham, North Carolina, Flamenco En Vivo merges performance, education, and community programs to keep Flamenco vibrant across the United States.

In 2025, the company presents Quinto Elemento (Fifth Element), an immersive evening-length work choreographed by Patricia Guerrero with an original score by Francis Gomez. The Joyce Theater hosts a pivotal engagement from April 21–26, 2025 as part of the Quinto Elemento tour. Alongside main productions, the Tablao Flamenco 2025/26 season brings intimate, authentic performances to venues across the country, including Moody Performance Hall in Dallas and Heymann Performing Arts Center in LA, among others.
