Flaural’s career began with 2015's Thin King and the 2016 Over Imaginary Cigarettes EPs, laying the groundwork for a sound that would evolve into full-length explorations. The 2019 release Postponement (Staycation Records) and the 2020 self-released Curb the Excess showcase a move toward introspective lyricism paired with experiments in rhythm and texture. Postponement material gained attention in CPR and live-focused coverage, while the 1616 era drew praise from Stereogum and Flood Magazine for its immersive approach. In 2025, Flaural continued to perform live, including a notable Golden Hours Denver appearance on September 6, 2025, at Riverfront Park.
