Biography and early beginnings: Flavia Nascimento moved from Belo Horizonte to Quebec City in 2001, where she expanded her artistry beyond singing to include theatre and clown performances before focusing on vocal work. She led Brazilian groups Pé na Rua and Forrossanova early in her career, which helped shape her signature blend of Brazilian roots and contemporary genres. Her first solo mini-album appeared around 2014, and her debut full-length Beija Flor followed on November 14, 2015, produced with Betinho Muniz. The Beija Flor project showcases rich Brazilian roots and cross-genre explorations that continue to inform her live shows.
