Founding roots in Kansas City, Missouri, Flee The Seen burst onto the hardcore scene with a fierce blend of post-hardcore and screamo. Signed to Facedown Records in December 2005, the band released their debut full-length, Doubt Becomes the New Addiction, on March 14, 2006. Known for intense vocal delivery and high-energy performances, they quickly earned recognition, including the 2005 Heavy Frequency Awards for Best Vocalist and Best Hardcore/Punk/Crossover Band, plus a spot on Alternative Press' 100 Bands You Need to Know in 2006. The group announced their final show in January 2009, with their last performance on April 3, 2009 at the Uptown Theater, effectively ending the project. While Flee The Seen remains inactive, their legacy continues to influence the KC hardcore scene.
