Florian Boesch is one of the world’s leading interpreters of the German lied, renowned for his deep, truthful bass-baritone voice and expressive storytelling. Born in Austria, he has forged a distinguished career as a concert and recital artist with a focus on Romantic lieder by composers such as Schubert, Schumann, and Mahler, often pairing his performances with the acclaimed pianist Malcolm Martineau. In addition to performing, Boesch serves as Professor of Lied and Oratorio at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, guiding a new generation of singers since 2015. His work has earned major awards and nominations, reflecting his commitment to the art form and his influence on lieder interpretation today.
