Fly Higher: Charlie Parker at 100 – Tribute is the officially sanctioned centennial tribute to Charlie Parker, honoring the innovator whose influence shaped modern jazz. Co-directed by Rudresh Mahanthappa (alto sax) and Terri Lyne Carrington (drums), the project brings together a stellar ensemble including Charenée Wade, Adam O’Farrill, Kris Davis, Larry Grenadier, and Kassa Overall. The world premiere and major performances began in 2020 with notable shows at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston and Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola in New York City, followed by festival appearances and touring. While the 2025–2026 tour slate has not been announced, the ensemble continues to perform select engagements and will announce future dates as plans are confirmed.
