Folger Consort is Washington, DC’s renowned early music ensemble, serving as the ensemble-in-residence at the Folger Shakespeare Library. Since its founding in 1977 by Robert Eisenstein and Christopher Kendall, the group has earned a reputation for historically informed performances that illuminate music from the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque periods.
