Biography
Frankie Knuckles (1955–2014) was a pioneering DJ and producer who helped shape the sound of modern house music. Often called the Godfather of House, Knuckles fused disco, soul, and electronic grooves to create a lasting musical movement. His influential residency and collaborations across Chicago, New York, and beyond helped establish a global dance culture rooted in soul, spirituality, and community. The Frankie Knuckles Foundation carries his legacy forward, supporting music education, mentorship, and LGBTQ+ advocacy within the dance community.
