Formosa Circus Art (FOCA) stands as Taiwan’s premier contemporary circus company. Founded in 2011 (originally Mix Acrobatics Theater), FOCA has grown into a powerhouse with over 20 full-time performers and a vibrant international footprint. The troupe has toured in 28 countries across 81 cities & towns and performed at 240+ international festivals, earning recognition and stable support from Taiwan’s government grants since 2017. FOCA’s dynamic blend of acrobatics, theatre, and contemporary circus elements captivates audiences worldwide, from Edinburgh Festival Fringe to Avignon OFF, where early international exposure helped boost its national profile.

In 2023, FOCA secured permanent residency in Tainan, cementing a southern base that fuels its creative development and community presence. Expect a busy 2025 tour season with performances at Jimmy Circus Park in Tainan (March–April 2025) and the On_Body Arts Festival in Hualien (July 19–27, 2025). FOCA also released a self-titled music album, FOCA, in 2024 on Timbuktu Records, reflecting their multidisciplinary approach to performance art.
