Biography

Founded in 1966, the Fox Valley Symphony (FVSO) is a professional orchestra based in northeastern Wisconsin. The ensemble serves as the resident partner at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center (FVAC), showcasing main-season concerts that celebrate a broad spectrum of repertoire—from classical masterworks to contemporary commissions. Since 2019, Kevin F.E. Sutterlin has guided the orchestra as Music Director, fostering artistic excellence and vibrant community engagement. FVSO is known for its dedication to living composers, commissioning new works, and broad outreach through the Amcor Education Series and involvement with three Youth Orchestras. The orchestra regularly partners with acclaimed soloists, conductors, and ensembles to broaden the reach of classical music across the community.
