Francisco Barbosa (born 1990 in Braga, Portugal) is an acclaimed contemporary flutist known for his expressive tone, technical mastery, and collaborative artistry. His studies took him from the Reina Sofia School of Music in Madrid to advanced training in Vienna, earning high praise from peers like Jacques Zoon who described him as one of the most interesting artists of his generation. As principal flutist of the Madrid Festival Orchestra and a frequent collaborator with Orchestra XXI, Francisco also contributes his artistry to the Klaue Woodwind Quintet, enriching audiences with chamber and orchestral performances worldwide.
