Frank Rodarte is a renowned saxophonist rooted in San Antonio’s vibrant jazz and blues scenes. Known for his association with the Dell Kings, Los Blues, and the West Side Sound—often nicknamed the “Wild Jalapeño”—Rodarte has shaped the sound of Texas Street-Level Jazz through decades of live performance and recorded work. His early sessions with the Harlem-era Dell Kings contributed to the 1961 singles Slow Down and More And More on Harlem 113, later highlighted on the compilation San Antonio Rock: The Harlem Recordings 1957-1961 (2000).
