Freihofers Saratoga Jazz Festival stands as one of North America's longest-running jazz celebrations. Founded in 1978 by jazz impresario George Wein and originally billed as the Newport Jazz Festival at Saratoga, this beloved event has grown into a two-day, two-stage experience with indoor seating for about 5,200 and expansive lawn seating for roughly 20,000. In 1998, it was renamed Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival, reflecting a long-standing partnership and a commitment to presenting world-class jazz in a family-friendly atmosphere at SPAC in Saratoga Springs, New York.
