On stage
The documented stage experience
Freud's Last Session is a compelling two-hander that places Sigmund Freud and C.S. Lewis in a riveting, intellectual duel about faith, psychology, and the human condition. Written by Mark St. Germain, inspired by Armand Nicholi's book The Question of God, the piece invites audiences to witness a life-changing conversation rather than action-packed drama. The production began its life at Barrington Stage Company in 2009 and later entertained Off-Broadway audiences in 2010, earning the Off Broadway Alliance Best Play Award in 2011. In 2025, the show embarks on regional tours, bringing this intimate philosophical encounter to Houston and the New York/Ardsley area.
