From Good Homes is a roots-driven rock/folk ensemble formed in rural Northwestern New Jersey in the late 1980s. Core members include Todd Sheaffer and Brady Rymer, with Patrick Fitzsimmons, Dan Myers (joined 1988), and Jamie Coan (joined 1990) helping shape a sound that blends rock, folk, jazz, and Celtic influences. Fans and press widely describe their music as Hick-Pop—a distinctive, feel-good fusion that resonates on both intimate and large stages.

After building a strong regional following, the band signed with RCA, releasing Open Up the Sky in 1994 and a self-titled From Good Homes in 1997. The late 1990s saw a string of acclaimed performances, including 12 consecutive sold-out shows at Irving Plaza, recognized by Billboard/ Irving Plaza in 1998. While long runs between releases marked the band's early era, they continued to tour and record, maintaining a loyal fan base.

In 2019, the group returned with Time and the River on GRRRrrrr Records, marking the first studio release since 1998 and kicking off a renewed period of activity during the Waterloo Village release cycle (2018–19). Since reuniting in 2009, From Good Homes has delivered well-documented performances at venues like Wellmont Theatre in New Jersey, along with a steady stream of reunion-era shows and new releases.

Today, fans can catch Since their reunion era, including 2025 tour activity featuring two Newton Theatre shows in December and a benefit performance at The Historic Palace Theatre in Netcong, NJ in June 2025.
