FSQ is a Chicago-born chamber ensemble founded in 1997, now in residence at the Caine College of the Arts at Utah State University. Recognized for blending traditional classical repertoire with contemporary works and ecological storytelling, FSQ has become a fixture in the modern classical landscape. The group made a standout Carnegie Hall debut in 2001 after earning the Grand Prize at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition in 2000, signaling a trajectory built on technical mastery and thoughtful programming.

Across a diverse repertoire that includes Beethoven, Bartók, and Haydn alongside commissions and premieres by Kaminsky, Libby Larsen, Clarice Assad, and others, FSQ connects audiences with music that speaks to science, environment, and culture. Their innovative approach is epitomized by The Crossroads Project, a collaboration that integrates ecology and science into concert programming to create immersive, educational experiences.

FSQ has released three official albums: The Crossroads Project (Navona Records, 2016); As One (Albany Records, 2019); and Canções da América (Canções da América video release by Guarneri Hall, 2023). The ensemble remains active on the concert circuit, with 2025 touring planned across universities, nature centers, and academic venues.

Upcoming FSQ tour dates for 2025 include an appearance at UNLV on March 6, 2025, a performance at Stokes Nature Center in Logan, Utah on March 27, 2025, and engagements at USU NOVA/NOVA in fall 2025.
