Fuji Rock Festival, Japan’s largest outdoor music event, started in 1997 near Mount Fuji and today brings together a diverse mix of rock, electronic, and indie acts across multiple stages. Operated by Smash Corporation (SMASH), the festival has grown into a global pilgrimage for music fans, drawing crowds that often exceed 100,000 attendees over its multi-day run. In 2012, the festival set a landmark attendance record of about 140,000 over three days. The 2025 edition returns to Naeba Ski Resort in Yuzawa-cho, Niigata Prefecture, from July 25–27, delivering an expansive lineup from around the world across roughly 200 artists on 12 stages.
