Funonyat Palestinian Folklore Troupe is renowned as Palestine’s leading dance company, built on a vibrant volunteer network of approximately 268–300 members. Since its inception in 1979, the group has blended traditional Palestinian folklore with contemporary dance language, creating a dynamic, accessible voice for culture, community, and performance arts. Their repertoire centers on dabke—a communal folk dance—infused with modern technique to engage both traditional audiences and new generations of dance lovers. The troupe maintains an active international presence, touring across the United States and engaging in education and community workshops to share Palestinian culture through movement.
