Bio: Fur emerged from Brighton’s vibrant music scene in 2015, rooted in a blend of indie rock, psychedelic pop, and dream pop, with doo-wop inflections that give their songs a nostalgic edge. The band’s original members include Will Murray, Will Tavener, and Flynn Whelan, later joined by Josh Buchanan (2019–2023) as part of evolving lineups. In 2017, Fur delivered a viral breakthrough with If You Know That I'm Lonely, a track that has accumulated tens of millions of views on YouTube and is frequently cited as a defining moment for the band. The debut album, When You Walk Away, arrived on 5 November 2021 via 777 Music, with Nice Swan/777 Music later confirming label involvement. BBC Radio 6 Music was an early champion, providing support around 2018 for Fur’s material. After a hiatus announced in June 2023, the band’s activity has been sporadic, with tour plans that have varied in scope since. The 2025 touring timeline shows three dates on Songkick, including Camden Dingwalls, Southampton Heartbreakers, and Neustadt am Rübenberge Schloss Landestrost, underscoring continued interest in Fur’s live performances.
