Garage Band Woodstock is a community-rooted performer born from a 2010 reunion concept that brings together Abilene musicians to celebrate classic rock from the 60s through the 80s. Founded by Charles and Kathy Taylor, with Cheryl and Wayland Huey, the project emerged under the umbrella of the Abilene Cultural Affairs Council. Proceeds from events benefit local nonprofits like New Horizons, West Texas Rehab, and Meals on Wheels, reflecting the festival’s charitable spirit.
