Garmonbozia began in Portland, Oregon, as the direct precursor to Blitzen Trapper. From 2000 to 2003, the project produced a string of self-released albums that captured the experimental indie folk and lo-fi sensibilities that would later inform Blitzen Trapper’s expansive sound. In 2003, the act evolved and rebranded as Blitzen Trapper, going on to achieve broader critical acclaim. Fans can trace the roots of the band through Garmonbozia's early discography and the collaborative energy that carried forward into Blitzen Trapper’s later success.
