Gateway Music Festival Tickets

Gateway Music Festival is more than a performer; it's a movement dedicated to counteracting isolation and underestimation of Black classical musicians. Founded in 1993 and relocated to Rochester, NY in 1995, the organization produces biannual flagship festivals—an orchestra festival in spring and a chamber music festival in fall—alongside innovative initiatives like Gateways Brass Collective, Gateways Chamber Players, Gateways Radio, and the Daily Showcase. The Festival Orchestra draws players from major orchestras and conservatories, creating a vibrant, high-caliber musical community with approximately 100–125 musicians per season. In 2022, the Gateways Orchestra made its landmark Carnegie Hall debut, marking a high point in the ensemble’s storied history.
