Gemynii is a Durham, North Carolina-based DJ and performer known for turning up the energy while elevating community spaces. Since starting as a DJ in 2016, she’s become a staple in the Duke City’s nightlife, weaving bass-forward sets with house, hip-hop, and dancefloor rhythms that keep crowds moving. As a co-founder of The Conjure, Gemynii helped build a safe, inclusive space celebrating Black femmes in nightlife since 2017. Beyond the booth, she serves as director of Housing and Therapeutic Services at the LGBTQ Center of Durham and is active in community advocacy, including the Rent Due fundraiser and Durham Pride initiatives. In 2018, Gemynii opened for Miguel at Hopscotch Music Festival and in 2021 opened for Big Freedia at Lincoln Theater, underscoring her ability to connect with diverse audiences.
