Genitortures originated in Orlando, Florida, in the early 1990s under the leadership of Gen. The band broke through with the 1993 release 120 Days of Genitorture on IRS Records, establishing a bold fusion of industrial rock and metal wrapped in theatrical, BDSM-inspired performance art. The project evolved through the late '90s and early 2000s, producing notable albums like Sin City (1998) and Flesh Is the Law (2003), culminating in Blackheart Revolution (2009). Their stage shows are known for their provocative visuals, live intensity, and fearless approach to performance as an art form.

Often described by fans and media as “the world’s sexiest rock band,” Genitortures continues to challenge conventions while delivering hard-hitting industrial rock and metal. As a pioneering act, they’ve influenced a generation of performers who blend theatre, shock rock aesthetics, and heavy music.

Genitortures is touring in 2025 with a UK Scars and Stripes Tour spanning September 4–12, hitting Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Brighton, and London. In the United States, look for Halloween performances in Southern California from October 29–31, 2025.
