The Georgetown University Jazz Ensemble (GUJE) is a dynamic 20-piece ensemble under the direction of Paul Bratcher, Georgetown's Director of Jazz Studies. GUJE explores historical big-band literature from the Swing era—think Ellington, Basie, and Kenton—alongside contemporary arrangements and high-energy improvisation. Based in the DC metro area, GUJE brings the university’s performing arts mission to life through engaging, on-campus and local stage performances.
