Gerald Clayton is a globally touring jazz pianist and composer known for blending modal post-bop with modern classical, soul, and Afro-Latin influences. Born in Utrecht, Netherlands on May 11, 1984, and raised in the Los Angeles area, Clayton trained at the University of Southern California and the Manhattan School of Music. His work has earned him recognition across jazz communities and a prominent place on Blue Note catalogs in recent years.
