Geraldo Azevedo is a cornerstone of Brazilian music, blending Forró with MPB to create a sound that resonates across generations. Born January 11, 1945 in Petrolina, Pernambuco, he’s known for timeless collaborations with Alceu Valença, Elba Ramalho, and Zé Ramalho, as well as the celebrated O Grande Encontro project from 1996–2000. As he entered his 80th year in 2025, Geraldo marked the milestone with the 80 Anos tour, taking his intimate guitar-driven storytelling to venues across Brazil.
